AMMSO Reunites Two Factions into Single Body After Advisory Committee Mediation
AMMSO appoints Khutleibam Safiullah as President; original letterhead, WhatsApp group and Facebook page to remain official

The All Manipur Muslim Students’ Organisation (AMMSO) has reunited its two split factions into a single organisation following mediation by its Advisory Committee, marking a significant development in efforts to resolve the organisation’s internal disputes.
The reunion comes on the occasion of the 19th death anniversary of late Marhoom Hanif Shah, the second President of AMMSO, who is remembered for his dedicated leadership of the student community and his pioneering role in securing 4% reservation.
According to the information shared regarding the reunion, civil society organisations (CSOs) and members of the public had appealed to the AMMSO Advisory Committee to intervene and resolve the differences within the organisation in connection with the memorial observance.
Following dedicated efforts and mediation, the Advisory Committee heard the positions of both sides before facilitating their reunion. As a result, the two factions have officially come together as one body, effective today.
Key Resolutions Adopted
The meeting adopted several resolutions to ensure unity and maintain continuity in the organisation’s functioning.
- Khutleibam Safiullah to Lead AMMSO
The meeting resolved to unify AMMSO under a single organisational structure, with Khutleibam Safiullah serving as its President.
- First Hanif Shah Week to Be Organised
The series of programmes for the upcoming first Hanif Shah Week will be organised under the leadership of Khutleibam Safiullah, honouring the legacy and contributions of the late leader.
- Original Green Letterhead to Remain Valid

- Original WhatsApp Group and Facebook Page Recognised
The organisation resolved to continue using its pre-existing official WhatsApp group and discontinue the newly created group. The original AMMSO Facebook page, which has around 28,000 followers, will remain the organisation’s official Facebook page.
Appeal for Public Support
On behalf of the AMMSO Advisory Committee, an appeal has been made to the general public and the Pangal community to extend their full cooperation and support towards the successful organisation of the first Hanif Shah Week.
The committee also urged the community to continue supporting AMMSO in its initiatives and programmes aimed at promoting the welfare, interests and development of the Pangal student community.
The reunion is expected to provide a common platform for the organisation to move forward collectively, strengthen its activities and continue its work for students while honouring the legacy of its former leader, late Marhoom Hanif Shah.
