COCOMI Urges Mass Participation in October 31 Rally Against Ongoing Conflict
COCOMI appeals for mass participation in its October 31 rally, demanding an end to the ongoing conflict, withdrawal of armed forces and safe resettlement of IDPs in Manipur.

Imphal, October 30, 2026: The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has appealed to the people of Manipur to participate in large numbers in a mass rally scheduled for October 31, demanding an end to what the organisation describes as an ongoing “proxy war” in the state.
Addressing a press conference at the committee’s office on Friday, COCOMI Women’s Wing Convenor Luwangleima said the rally is being jointly organised by COCOMI and indigenous communities of Manipur to raise a collective voice against the alleged proxy war.
Three Key Demands
Luwangleima said the rally would press for three major demands:
An immediate end to the ongoing conflict in Manipur.
Withdrawal of armed forces from the state.
Safe resettlement of internally displaced persons (IDPs).
She urged people from all sections of society to join the rally in large numbers and demonstrate collective solidarity.
COCOMI said the mobilisation aims to highlight concerns over Manipur’s integrity and the need to restore peace in the state.
