Manipur CM Yumnam Khemchand Singh attends PM-KISAN Utsav Diwas in Imphal, distributes Agriculture Department scheme benefits and highlights the ₹18,680 crore transfer to farmers nationwide.
Imphal, October 30, 2026: Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Friday attended the PM-KISAN Utsav Diwas programme at the MSFDS Auditorium in Imphal and distributed benefits under various schemes of the Agriculture Department.
During the programme, the Chief Minister also joined the nationwide event marking the release of the 24th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme.
In a statement, Singh said a total of ₹18,680 crore had been transferred directly to approximately 9.34 crore farmers across the country under the latest instalment.
CM Appeals for Productive Use of Agricultural Land
The Chief Minister appealed to farmers in Manipur to make productive use of agricultural land throughout the year.
He reiterated that the state government remains committed to supporting the farming community and strengthening agricultural development across Manipur.
The programme highlighted the government's ongoing efforts to extend support to farmers through agricultural welfare schemes and initiatives.
