Sunurok JAC takes its demands to the Chief Minister's Secretariat
A delegation led by convenor K. Ibungobi Meitei met CM Yumnam Khemchand Singh in Babupara. The three-hour meeting ended without agreement.

Demands raised by the JAC over the Khongbal Sunurok incident were discussed at Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh's Secretariat in Babupara on October 27. JAC convenor K. Ibungobi Meitei led the delegation.
Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam, MLAs and senior Home Department officials also attended. The talks lasted about three hours but ended in a deadlock: the committee refused to claim the bodies until the government fulfils its assurances.
Among the assurances the government gave was a security operation to strengthen protection in peripheral areas. The JAC says it will keep up its agitation until it sees these commitments carried out on the ground.
