Sunurok killings: JAC says bodies will stay unclaimed until demands are acted on
The committee wants to see action on the government's assurances first. The three civilians killed in Khongbal Sunurok have still not been laid to rest.

The Joint Action Committee (JAC) formed over the killing of three civilians at Khongbal Sunurok has said it will not claim the victims' bodies until the state government acts on its demands.
JAC co-convenor Laishram Amarjit spoke after the committee's talks with the government on October 27. He said several key issues were still unresolved, and the JAC would watch whether the assurances are carried out before it agrees to anything formally.
The bodies of Lairenlakpam Inaobi Meitei, Arubam Ronil Singh and Kshetrimayum Sushil Singh remain unclaimed. The JAC has said its agitation will continue, and that stronger security for villages in the peripheral areas is among its main demands.
