Cyclone Arnab stalls over the Andhra coast, bringing heavy rain and fallen trees
Winds of 115–125 kmph, gusting to 140 kmph, hit coastal districts including Konaseema.

Cyclone Arnab stayed almost stationary off the Andhra Pradesh coast on the morning of October 28. That dragged out its landfall and brought heavy rain and strong winds to coastal districts.
The IMD's 6:30 am bulletin placed the cyclone's centre about 30 km east of Narsapur and 45 km south-southwest of Yanam, with sustained winds of 115–125 kmph gusting to 140 kmph.
In Konaseema and other districts trees were uprooted and roads blocked. The IMD later said the storm had crossed the coast and weakened into a severe cyclonic storm.
