Four winters on, Delhi's air is no better, says CREA study
Average winter AQI went from 280 to 304, then 285, then 295, despite GRAP.

Delhi's winter air quality has not improved steadily over the last four years, even with the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) in place. That is the finding of the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA), based on government data.
The city's mean winter AQI rose from 280 in 2022–23 to 304 in 2023–24, dropped to 285 in 2024–25, and climbed again to 295 in 2025–26. The median followed the same up-and-down pattern.
CREA said there has been no consistent downward trend since GRAP was revised in 2022.
