From November 1, RIMS campus closed as a shortcut
The hospital cites safety concerns, including an alleged attack on a dental student, after incidents on its premises.

From November 1, the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Imphal will stop people from using its campus as a bypass or through-route.
The institute's notice points to an alleged attempt on the life of a BDS student, frequent thefts of institute property, and people using open areas of the campus to take intoxicants.
Access will be limited to patients, their attendants, doctors, staff and others with real business at RIMS. Staff have been asked to carry ID cards and show vehicle passes when asked.
